| You are now reading the entry of a new teacher! That's right, I got hired! I'm teaching at the same school where I interned last year....4th grade Language Arts and Math! How cool is our God!? | | |
| Sometimes I forget just how wonderful Super Summer is. I get really caught up in the logistics of decorating my school room and organizing things (my passion) that I don't remember how much God moves. Healing has happened immensely over the past 6 months. So much so that this year's Super Summer has been like a whole new experience. I don't have incredible emotional distractions nor do I feel overwhelmed by lonliness. I'm just getting to fully experience my raw life as it is affected by the Healer. Deep, huh? ; ) | | |
| Dang! A lot happens in six months! : ) Well, I'm out. I am officially out of college! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I graduated with my Masters in Education a couple of weeks ago and the word "relieved" doesn't even begin to describe how I feel! Now...onto finding a job. So far, the pickings are quite slim. If anyone knows of a school that needs a middle school English/Reading/Math teacher....LET ME KNOW! Kelli and I could both use the help! As for the romance front...well...dry as ever! I'm not really upset about that, though. I actually am so busy that a boyfriend would not even fit....that's right, Celeste...keep telling yourself that.... Instead, it's a beautiful summer night and I'm sitting here at work.....at 10:30 pm....it's actually kinda creepy now that I think about it! Super Summer's next week. That's exciting. I do love me some Super Summer. Then, I have 3 weeks of Seneca Lake! : ) YAY! I love that place. Ok....I think I've sufficiently wasted your time! 'Night! | | |
| Holy cow, it's been a long time since I've written in this thing! Sadly, I've been sucked into the myspace world. It's a route I didn't expect to take, but alas, I have. I've missed my xanga, though. I'd forgotten how utterly dark it is. Maybe I should spruce it up. Hmmm.... Well, here are the updates: 1. I was proposed to. That's right. Somebody actually wanted to marry me. Can you believe it? You'd better not. It's false! I just made that up because nothing incredibly interesting has actually happened and I needed a great eye-catching intro. It worked though, right? ok...for real. 1. I am in my 5th full month as an intern in a 4th grade classroom. I love it. Love the kids. Love my CT and LOVE teaching! : ) 2. I am (once again) annoyed at the few, obscure paths that I see for my future. Stay in Ohio for a couple of years and teach? Move to the south (Georgia? the Carolinas?) ? Who knows. I keep putting off making this life-altering decision because when it comes to important things- I'm a procrastinator. 3. Pastor Ron retired and I'm super-depressed about it. I mean, really really sad. | | |
| Wow! I haven't updated this thing in months. Not that people even read it anymore! : ) Well, to update you, I'm just gonna go down a list: - I'm teaching 4th graders as a graduate intern all year. They have my heart...be prepared to read stories about them. They're hilarious.
- I work a lot. Not as much as I'd like, due to classes, but as much as possible to keep my sanity for now.
- Grad school classes=poop. tired. poop.
- I've started taking multi-vitamins daily. They were necessary if I planned on getting through this year with a clean bill of health.
- My car window was broken in about a month ago. They didn't get my stereo...those little turds tried, though.
- I went on a date. Yeah, I know...that's old news. But it was a big step for me! It didn't work out, but it was still fun! : )
- My intramural football and volleyball teams both suck. Largely in part to me, I know. We're 0-4 across the board. So sad.
I wish I was more interesting, but as you can see...I'm not. Fall Conference is this weekend and I'm looking forward to it. God bless Seneca Lake and all its beauty. | | |
